Biography

Md. Abdul Halim has been a Lecturer for Leading University (LU) at the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management since 2018. He completed his graduation and post-graduation in the Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM) department at the University of Dhaka (DU). Mr. Halim has five tourism research papers published by leading national and international journals ((e.g., Sustainability, GeoJournal of Tourism and Geosites). His research interest lies in Community Tourism, Outbound Tourism, Travel operations, and Sustainable Tourism.

As a faculty member of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Leading University, Mr. Halim has represented his institution (LU) at different local and national platforms (e.g., Bangladesh Tourism Board master plan program, Sylhet District Office Tourism Day discussion program). He was also the founder of ‘Leading University Tourist Club’ and is currently the club's advisor. As the club's advisor, his motivation and initiatives have made signature unveiling the 1st volume of the travel magazine covering the theme 'Tourism Buzz' on 27th September 22. Mr. Halim also has been awarded by the Vice-Chancellor for his extraordinary contribution to the university during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mr. Halim is a tourism Trainer: he conducted tourism and hospitality training for professionals on (e.g., Tour Guiding, Table Manner, and Tourism Entrepreneurship).
