Seminar on “Career Development for Engineering Students” organized by EEE department.

A seminar on “Career Development for Engineering Students” was organized on 30th November, 2018 by the department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Leading University. Honorable Vice Chancellor of Leading University Professor Dr. Md. Qamruzzaman Chowdhury was present as the chief guest of the seminar. Engr. Ujjal Das Gupta, Chief Instructor & head of Electro Medical Department of Sylhet Polytechnic Institute, Md. Nizam Uddin Bhuiyan, head of Electrical Technology Department of Sylhet Polytechnic Institute, Engr. Jabed Al Shahariar, Principal of Sylhet Professional Technical Institute, and many other instructors from different polytechnic institutes were also present in the seminar. This program was chaired by Mr. Rumel M.S. Rahman Pir, Associate Professor and Head of the Dept. of EEE Leading University. Around hundreds of students from different polytechnic institutes were the participants in the seminar.

The seminar started with the welcome note to all the participants and distinguished guests by Mr. Rafiqul Islam, Senior Lecturer of Dept. of EEE, Leading University. Md Niaz Morshedul Haque, Lecturer of Dept. of EEE Leading University presented the main theme of this seminar. He described the different career pathway of engineering students, and the benefits of having a bachelor degree in their professional career after completion of their diploma. Md. Kawser Hawlader, Deputy Registrar (Admission) of Leading University, discussed on the admission policy and students benefits at Leading University, and answered many queries in this topic. The distinguished guests exchanged their views on the topic of today’s seminar, and visited the Dept. of EEE along with their students. The Chief Guest of today’s seminar Professor Dr. Md. Qamruzzaman Chowdhury, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Leading University expressed his gratitude to all for their participation and shared various innovative ideas for the career paths and higher studies prospects of engineering students.

The seminar was nicely hosted by a lecturer of EEE department Mr. Abu Shakil Ahmed, and ended up with the closing speech of seminar chair Mr. Rumel M.S. Rahman Pir. The chair of the seminar appreciate the presence of all distinguished guests and participants in the seminar.
