Students, Teachers and Officers of Leading University formed a Human Chair in front of the campus (Surma Tower and Rangmahal Tower), and a huge Rally started from in front of Surma Tower (Taltola Road) and in front of Rangmahal Tower (Bandorbaza Road) and moved towards the main roads of the city area on 01 August 2016. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Qumruzzaman Chwowdhury led the rally. Leading University formed the human chain and organized a rally and discussion program against the backdrop of militant attacks in Gulshan and Sholakia last month.
Thousands of students, teachers, officers and staff of Leading University collectively raised their voices for building social resistance and mass awareness against terrorism. Participants were holding banners, placards inscribing different slogans like, “Bangladesh Against Terrorism”, “Terrorism Has No Religion”. “Say No to Terrorism”, “We United Against Terrorism” etc. After the Rally a Discussion program held in the Hall Room of Leading University. In this Discussion Vice Chancellor said that, Leading University had kept checking and monitoring the students to prevent them from being misguided. Leading University Registrar L. Col. Munir Ahmed Quadery (Retd.), Senior Teachers, all Head of the Departments, Controller of Examinations, Proctor, Officers and Students two from each Departments also addressed their roles Against Terrorism in the campus. Professor Md. Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration presided over the discussion program and Deputy Registrar Md. Kawser Hawlader anchored the program.
