The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Leading University organized a two day long Electro Fair 2015 in its Rangmahal Tower Campus on 17 and 18 October 2015 at Zilla Shilpokola Academy, Baluchar, Sylhet in a befitting manner. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Leading University (LU) Professor Dr. Md. Kabir Hossain Inaugurated the Fair on 17 October, and gave away prizes among the winners on 18 October 2015 at Zilla Shilpokola Academy, Baluchar, Sylhet. Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Leading University, Metropolitan University, North East University Bangladesh, MC College, Jalalabad College, Blue Bird School and College, Agragami Girls School and College had participated in the fair. Project Showcasing, Science Fair, Quiz Contest, Line Follower and Robofight were the events of the Electro Fair 2015 where the participants showcased their innovative capability and creativity.
In Robofight ‘Wolverine’ Group of Leading University became champion and ‘ROBOSUST BACCHA KACCHA’ Group of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology became Runner up. The participants Wolverine group were MD. Rahat Khan Ridoy, Abu Bakar and Omer Faruk, and the students of ROBOSUST BACCHA KACCHA were Mirza Kamrul Bashar Shuhan, Abhijit Das and Umme Sumaya Jannat. In Line Follower event ‘BUET RESONANCE’ group of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) became Champion and ‘OPTIMUS PRIME’ group of Leading University became Runner up. The participants of BUET RESONANCE were Md. Tasnimul Hasan, MD. Sazzad Hossain Rakib, Muntasir Mohammad Munim and MD. Rahat Mahmud Khan, and OPTIMUS PRIME participants from Leading University comprised of Md. Abu Bakar Siddik, Md. Rahat Khan Ridoy, Md. Omer Faruk and Mou Deb. In Science Fair MC College group FRIEND CIRCLE, STAR GROUP and EMERGING SUN got the 1st, jointly 2nd place respectively. In Quiz Contest participants from MC College Dipayon Kumar Sikder, Abhijeet Acharjeejeet, Md. AhsanulHaqueSajit, and Rafid Amir Mahmud secured 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions respectively. In the Project Showcasing event Leading University group JRP 108, NUCLEAS and DREAM HIGH became 1st, 2nd and 4th respectively and the group SUBMARINE TEAM of METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY obtained the 3rd place. The participants from Leading University were Obadur Rahim Rizbhi, MD. Juwel Chowdhury, Pradip Lal Biswas (1st), Nishat Sharmin Chowdhury, Rozina Akter, Anwarul Islam Mithu, ZarrinTasnim Noor (4th ) and participants SUBMARINE TEAM of METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY were Joy Roy, Lutfur Rahman, Shakil Ahmed Chowdhury.
Professor Dr. S. M. Saiful Islam Hon’ble Pro- Vice Chancellor of Leading University was the Convener and Chaired the Prize Giving Ceremony of Electro Fair 2015. Lft. Colonel Md. Munir Ahmed Quadery (Retd.), Registrar, Md. Showkatul Hasan Chowdhury, Controller of Examinations, Mr. Md. Rezaul Karim, Assistant Professor of Department of English, Mr. Rumel M.S. Rahman Pir, Assistant Professor Department of CSE of LU were present as Special Guests. The Chief Guest, Special Guests, Convener, Electronic Club President, Faculty Members of EEE Department and a participant from MC College delivered their valuable speeches in program. The program was anchored by Mou Shikder and Jihad Al Sabah students of EEE Department. All Heads of the Departments, teachers and officers were present in the fair.
