Enhancing the Security of Caesar Cipher Algorithm by Designing a Hybrid Cryptography System

ABSTRACT Cryptography is the art of protecting information by transforming it into an unreadable format. It is about constructing and analyzing protocols that prevent third parties or the public from reading private message. Caesar cipher is a substitution cipher that implements monoalphabetic substitutions. It is a very old encryption technique and major disadvantage of caesar cipher is the repeating nature of its keys. In this paper an advanced encryption algorithm is proposed which improves the security of caesar method by combining traditional playfair approach and a modern cipher method like stream cipher. When applying the proposed method, three different key is used which makes the algorithm more strong.
