The most prestigious contest for Computer Science students, ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Dhaka site 2015 was held at North South University in 14th November. This year, 3 teams from Leading University have participated in the contest. A qualifying round of 900+ teams from all over the country was held week before the Final contest and 120 teams got the chance to compete in main event. The 3 teams consisted of the students from CSE Department.
Team LU_Dynamic solved 4 problems (out of 10) in the contest and obtained an honorable position in the rank-list. Members of this team were: Shahriar Khan, Md. Mohaimenul Haque Adnan and Sudipto Chowdhury. Team LU_Serious (Araf-Al-Jami, Dipta Chandra Paul, Md. Raihan Hussain) solved 3 problems, and team LU_KillerBeans (Maruf Ahmed, Sabbir Ahmad, Mashrur Bin Ahad Fahim) solved 3 problems. Arif Ahmad (Assistant Professor, CSE) and Md. Saiful Ambia Chowdhury (Lecturer, CSE) were the coaches of these teams.
It is mentionable that, Department of CSE regularly arranges workshops for the competitive programmers of the department.
