Sheikh Md. Muniruzzaman has been teaching as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English at Leading University. This year, he has been selected for Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program administered by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. He has been nominated for a nine-month fellowship to teach Bangla at the New York University during the 2016-2017 academic year. As part of the program, he will teach two courses in Bangla and take courses on U.S. studies and English language teaching. He will also work as Cultural Ambassador to the host community to build up mutual understanding between the United States and Bangladesh.
Prior to this, he was selected for 2014 E-Teacher Scholarship Program administered by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. He successfully completed 10 week long online teacher training course with the University of Oregon’s American English Institute (UOAEI).
He joined as a Lecturer in the Department of English at Leading University in November 2013.He completed B. A. (Hons) in English Language and Literature in 2011 and M. A. in Applied Linguistics and ELT in 2012 from Jahangirnagar University. He is grateful to the authority of Leading University for their overall cooperation.
