Data Science, Applied Analytics, AI are seen as the tool that companies in the first world such as Amazon, Facebook, Google, Tesla, Uber, Netflix, Apple, and so on are dominating. What and where is the position of developing countries such as Bangladesh, there is no clear roadmap. In this panel discussion, we will show a clear path towards a modern economy where the competences in Data science and AI from developing countries can rule the rest of the world.
Juwel Rana, Ph.D. is a global analytics leader located at Oslo, Norway, and leads the analytical development at Varner Group, holding the position as Head of Analytics. He is an AI product-focused, believer of value-driven development. He possesses full-stack development principles from architecting AI products to algorithmic design as well as strategic and business objective setting. When it comes to AI technology, he thinks business first, and when it comes to business, he puts customers first.
17 years experience of data & analytics, where Mr. Asif experienced with Market Research, BI functionalities, Data Science, and Advanced ML functions within the telco industry. Worked for more than 10 markets across Asia & Europe and currently based in Malaysia leading the Data Science team of Digi Telecommunication. He is pursuing his Doctorate in Business Administration now.
Dr. Noori is an Associate Professor in the Dept. of CSE at the Daffodil International University, Dhaka. He received his Ph.D. in Information & Communication Technology from the University of Trento, Italy and studied Masters in Software Engineering of Distributed System at KTH, Sweden; He has several years of experience working in various European and Asian IT companies and Universities. His work includes R&D, software development, training, and consulting. He also served as a Visiting Academic in Anglia Ruskin University, UK, and the University of West Of Scotland, UK.
Sarwar runs his Software development company S11apart from his desire to excel expert knowledge within the real-time analytics area, in which he is pursuing Ph.D. research at Linnaeus University, Sweden. He along with his company provides consultancy and develops different kinds of data-driven software systems for the Bangladesh Army and its subsidiaries like National Defence College of Bangladesh, Bangladesh National Authority for Chemical Weapons Convention, and Proyash. His company also works with private sectors like Banks, corporates, energy industries, and donor agencies. He has years of experience in deploying and productionizing different Machine Learning models and optimization engines that create value for the business.
