To commemorate the supreme sacrifice of the great sons of the soil in the Independence of Bangladesh Leading University observed the Martyred Intellectual Day with due solemnity on 14 December 2015. The day was started with a rally brought out from the university premise with placards, banners etc and ended with offering floral wreath at the altar of Sylhet Buddijibi Graveyard. Black badge was also put on to show the respect to the Intellectuals. Leading University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Kabir Hossain and Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. S. M. Saiful Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration Professor Dr. Tofayel Ahmed, Registrar Lft. Col. Munir Ahmed Quadery (Retd.), Controller of Examinations Md. Showkat Hasan Choudhury, Director (MBA & EMBA Program) Professor Dr. Bashir Ahmed Bhuiyan, Student Welfare Advisor Md. Abul Kalam Chowdhury, all Head of the different Departments, Faculty Members, Club Advisors, Officers, students and staff were present on this occasion.
