The foundation stone of Leading University campus has been laid on 27th November,2011. On this program Danobir Ragib Ali was present as the Chief Guest. Honorable Vice Chancellor of Leading University Prof.Md. Kismatul Ahsan Presided over the meeting while Major Gen.(Retd) Prof.Dr.Md Nazmul Islam was the Special Guest.
The campus is going to be establish in a beautiful location of Kamal Bazar, South Surma,Sylhet.

A great business leader former chairman of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association and chairman of North South University the first Private University of Bangladesh.
Mr. Mohammad Shahjahan visited Leading University on Saturday,12th November, 2011. The founder chairman of Leading university Danobir Ragib Ali was along with him on this occasion.
Mr. Shahjahan was very impressed to see all the modern facilities of Leading University. 17th October,2011 : End of Spring Film Festival at Leading University
The two day long film festival of Leading University has come to an end yesterday, 16th October 2011. It was a joint venture organized by the Social Service Club of Leading University & Moviana film society. The films were shown in the Rabeya Khatun Chowdhury Auditorium of Leading University.
In this festival, several films were represented & shown. Those were ‘Matir Moyna’ of Tareq Masud, ‘The Great Dictator’ of Charley Chaplin, Apur Songsar of Satyajeet Roy & Once Upon a time in the west. The festival was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Sofiullah, Professor Dept. of BuA. Mr. Jahangir Alam, Senior lecturer, BuA & Advisor, Social Service Club of Leading University was in charge of overall monitoring of this program.
Monday, September 19, 2011 : Professor Md. Kismatul Ahsan joined as Vice Chancellor at Leading University.
Prof. Md. Kismatul Ahsan joined as the Vice Chancellor of Leading University on 15th of September, 2011 . Prof. Kismatul Ahsan took over the charge from Mr. Abdul Hye, Treasurer of the university in a reception meeting held in Rabey Khatun Chowdhury Auditorium. Founder Chairman of Leading University Danobir Ragib Ali attended the program as Chief Guest and Principal of Jalalabad Ragib Rabeya Medical College Major General(Retd.) Prof. Dr. Md. Nazmul Islam, Vice Chairman of Ragib Rabeya Foundation Mr. Abdul Hye & Dhaka University?s Controller of Exams. Mr. Md. Bahalul Haque Chowdhury delivered speech as Special guest in the reception program. All faculty members, the proctor, deans Director of Finance & Accounts, Registrar, Heads of the departments and officers of the university were present.
He served as a Professor in the Dept. of Finance & Banking of Rajshahi Univeresity about 13 years and performed duty as Head of the same department.. Alongside a Professor of Finance, he ran as the Director of MBA program of the Business Administration of Dhaka University and Student Counselor of the same dept. too. Besides, more than fifty articles have been published in the recognized journals. Prof. Ahasan is closely related with different social and voluntary organizations including Lions Club, Dhaka University Alumni Association, Finance Alumni Association. President Zillur Rahman has appointed him as Vice Chancellor of Leading University for a four year term.
